One of my favorite parts of volunteering at POP is when I get to show kids how the games work. They are endlessly fascinated by what goes on behind the scenes.
Our 5 month “Therapy Through Pinball” trial has come to an end. “Most of all, pinball has helped him to connect in meaningful ways with others. It is a joy to hear him get so excited and cheer on his friends who are achieving the new high score.”
Following the success of our Autism therapy workshops a parent of a child with autism asked if we could have a half day camp for her son's classmates. We had six kids join us with their parents for a fun day of learning and sharing.
We had so much fun teaching the special needs student of Grant High School all about pinball!
Today we hosted 17 students from Irvington Elementary School for a day of pinball fun with teacher Mr. Lofquist.

Today we hosted two community play sessions for special needs children with Footprints Behavioral Interventions.
It’s time for the Wednesday’s Child news segment. We opened the doors of POP HQ for these foster children and KOIN 6 to have some fun with pinball.
Big Game and Tron: Legacy are headed to Randall’s Children’s Hospital in Portland for an indefinite stay in the Teen Lounge.
